Situation
- Lahan terbakar 54,13 Ha; berhasil dipadamkan 31,33 Ha (Darat 22,33 Ha; Udara 9 Ha), tersisa 22,80 Ha. - Dari 24 FS, sebanyak 17 FS berhasil dipadamkan. - Lahan gambut menyulitkan proses pemadaman; RSJ Sambang Lihum menjadi lokasi prioritas.

Preventing Fires & Coping with Haze

Prevent fires

  • Do not clear land by burning. It is prohibited and punishable by law.
  • Do not drop cigarette butts or leave campfires in dry areas and peatland.
  • Burning peat can smoulder underground for days and is hard to put out.

During haze

  • Watch the ISPU category. From "Unhealthy", limit outdoor activities.
  • Wear an N95/KF94 mask; cloth and surgical masks filter PM2.5 poorly.
  • Close doors and windows; protect babies, the elderly, pregnant women, and people with asthma or respiratory illness.
  • Drink plenty of water and see a health worker right away if you are short of breath.

See a fire? Report it

  • Contact the local BPBD, fire brigade, or Manggala Agni.
  • Give the location as precisely as possible (coordinates/landmark) and the estimated size of the fire.
  • Do not try to put out a large fire yourself; stay upwind and away from smoke.

Hotspots are surface-temperature anomalies detected by satellite and are not necessarily fires.
